I visited Ireland in June 2016 and it fast became one of my favourite countries I've visited. There's a feeling I got there, surrounded by all the greenery, it was calming and fresh. I loved the week I spent travelling around and it's one country I can't wait to go explore more in the future. Here are 10 places to go in Ireland.

Blarney Castle and Gardens
 1. Blarney Castle and Gardens: The Blarney Castle is gorgeous as are its grounds, you could spend several hours wandering around them admiring the scenery. There are some great photo opportunities and like most of Ireland it's nice being out in nature. The Blarney Castle and Gardens is approximately a 15 minute drive from Cork.

Blarney Stone
2. Kiss the Blarney Stone: While you're admiring the gorgeous surroundings of the Blarney Castle and Gardens, purchase a ticket and climb up the Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone, apparently it gives you the gift of the gab.

Cliffs of Moher
3. Cliffs of Moher: You can't go to Ireland and not visit the Cliffs of Moher. You get amazing views and you can see a rock where Dumbledore apparated to in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Another one of Ireland's gorgeously green places. The Cliffs of Moher are approximately a 1 and half hour drive from Galway.

Inishmore/Aran Islands
4. Inishmore/Aran Islands: The day I took a ferry to Inishmore it was raining, but I ignored the rain and rented a bike to ride around the Island on. It's the best way to see a large part of the island and some gorgeous views and scenery. Unfortunately I got drenched and ended up freezing cold but I still enjoyed Inishmore a lot. If you've got a day and want some outdoor activity renting a bike and riding around is definitely a fun experience.

Ireland
5. Get lost in all the greenery: Most places you go in Ireland are going to have a large amount of greenery and amazing scenery. Coming from a city, I loved being in the outdoors amongst it all. Wherever you may be in Ireland take time to explore and soak it all up.

Jameson Distillery
6. Jameson Distillery: If you're a whisky lover, then head to the Jameson Distillery. They provide great tours and at the end you get your own glass of Jameson or Jameson, Dry and Lime (like I did). The tour was super informative and well worth a visit. The Jameson Distillery is approximately a half hour drive from Cork.

Kilkenny Castle
7. Kilkenny: Kilkenny is a gorgeous little town that's well worth a visit. We went on a bike tour with Kilkenny Cycling Tours, which I highly recommend. It was such a great time, super informative and the guys were so helpful and fun. It was a quick and easy way to see a lot Kilkenny.

Galway
8. Galway: Galway was a place I fell in love with. The atmosphere was amazing and it had such a great vibe. Definitely a great place to dance in a pub and listen to live music. I loved wandering around the streets and checking out all the little shops.

Giant's Causeway
9. Northern Ireland: All I knew about Northern Ireland was Belfast and the Titanic. But there's so much more. Of course there's the Titanic Museum, which was a great experience, but I loved learning about the history of Northern Ireland. I had an amazing walking tour in Derry, that was very educational and a great experience.

10. Giant's Causeway: The Giant's Causeway was where I broke off from the group and just walked around by myself. I loved walking around all the rocks, and the walk to the rocks is such a gorgeous walk, with amazing views. The Giant's Causeway is approximately a 1 hour drive from Derry.

What are some other must see places to visit in Ireland?
