December Favourites: Skin, Hair & Makeup

december beauty favourites, skin favourites 2013, beauty favourites 2013, origins, soap and glory, lush, kiehls
Well another year has come and gone, very quickly I might add. I've had some stand out skin, hair and makeup products throughout the year that I've gone back to over and over again. First up is skin, definitely a part of my body I battled with in 2013. It started out majorly broken out and continued that way for the first six months of the year, towards the end I finally figured out a good routine and I can say I haven't broken out in a month or so which is amazing for me.

I tried out a new face mask in the past couple of months, the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask. I am loving it and it is definitely keeping my pores clear of dirt and buildup which I am loving. I switched up my toner that past couple of months to the Lush Tea Tree Water, which is also amazing. It is nice and cooling on the skin, great for summer and helps to fight any breakouts with its tea tree qualities. My under eye area is relatively alright and moisture is all it really needs at this point. The Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is a great product for providing moisture. It glides on amazingly and wears well under makeup. Finally for my hands I am in love with the Soap & Glory Hand Food, it is very moisturising, doesn't smell like a hand cream and keeps my hands nice and moisturised.
december beauty favourites, 2013 yearly favourites, hair favourites, loreal elnett hairspray, batiste dry shampoo
My hair is generally alright, and I have little issues with it. Shampoos and conditioners I switch out regularly and the same with hair masks. But these two items have stayed with me throughout the year no matter. In summer when I put my hair in a bun, because it's just too hot to apply any heat, a good hair spray is a must to keep flyaways away. I love the Loreal Elnett Satin hairspray, it keeps my hair in place without being crunchy and is a great hairspray raved about all over the internet. The Batiste dry shampoo for brunettes is another must for me, whether using it to freshen up oily hair or to provide some texture to very clean hair it works perfectly, never leaving a grey colour in my hair.
december beauty favourites, yearly beauty favourites, 2013 beauty favourites, revlon colorstay, mac blush, smashbox primer, nars lipgloss
These four makeup products are the main products I have worn throughout the year over and over. While I have tried other foundations the Revlon Colorstay is the one that I go back to, especially over summer when my skin is crazy oily. It doesn't budge, and can provide a natural to high coverage look depending on how it's applied. To make my foundation even more sweat proof, my Smashbox Photo Finish Primer in Light is amazing. It provides a smooth base for my foundation and reduces shine as well. I love blush and my MAC one in Springsheen has definitely been one of my favourite, most used blushes of 2013. It provides a gorgeous peach shade across my cheeks with a really nice glow. For my lips the Nars lipgloss in Turkish Delight is never far away. It's a lovely pinky nude colour that is perfect for any time of the year and has the best formulation.

Well I hope you found some amazing beauty products you loved in 2013,
Brie x
