Dressing up denim: From casual to smart casual

I am the queen of casual, as I said in my last post I am definitely someone who dresses for comfort than dressing in something just because it's on trend. I believe you can dress on trend and stylishly without being uncomfortable and in pain. Denim shorts for me are my summer staple and definitely an item of clothing I wear most days. They are comfortable, majorly versatile and come in a variety of styles, a complete all round awesome item in my opinion. I would wear this outfit going shopping, running errands or hanging out with friends.

As a petite girl and someone who definitely dresses to be comfortable, wedges are a necessity in my wardrobe. They are comfortable, versatile and dress up any casual outfit. Do you see a pattern here? Comfort is key, if you're not comfortable you won't appear confident and there is nothing worse than fidgeting with an outfit all day. To take a casual outfit, to smart casual i'll add a pair of wedges and throw on some more gold jewellery. Gold jewellery classes up any outfit and adds that last touch to take the outfit from running errands to afternoon drinks or a nice lunch.
