5 September Beauty Favourites

monthly skincare favourites, st ives, the body shop, benefit, too faced, kiehls, montly beauty favorites
I'm back...OMG the past week has just been beyond ridiculous at uni. I had 2 big assessments and 1 exam all in the space of 3 days and the week just got ridiculous. I spent most of it in denim shorts, a t-shirt and keds, with my hair in a bun. While i'm still quite busy with uni it has subsided mostly so I can get back to my life and this blog. Well as you can probably tell September was busy, I'm thinking the busiest I have ever been at uni. So here's what I have been loving in the month of September...

1. St Ives Blemish Control Green Tea Scrub: I swore off the St Ives apricot scrub after I was told it was too harsh for my skin but thought i'd try the Green tea scrub after MissGlamorazzi mentioned it in a recent video. My Biore scrub was running out so I need a new one, so I thought I'd try this. So far I love it. It smells yummy, is not as harsh as the apricot scrub and definitely cleans my skin. I am also experiencing an unprecedented amount of time without pimples so this must be helping.

2. The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner: I mentioned I might try this in my recent skincare routine posts. I picked it up and am absolutely loving it. It definitely helps to keep my skin matte throughout the day and smells good. If it's not the St Ives scrub keeping my pimples at bay I'm quite sure it's this or both.

3. Too Faced Shadow Insurance: Summer has arrived early...I'm grieving for the winter I never had. With summer comes oily eyelids for me, very unattractive and makes wearing eyeshadows a disaster. Applying this to my eyelids before eyeshadow ensures they do not crease, slide or end up on my cheeks. It has a slight skin colour tint to it and goes on silky smooth. A must for me for any season.

4. Kiehls Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment: When I was in Melbourne I picked up this much raved about eye cream. I can concur it is as good as everyone says it is. Thick, creamy, silky...it takes my usually dry under eye area to a nice and smooth place. I love applying this every night and have been using it in the morning when I have a particularly dry under eye area and it instantly brightens it up. It is also great for wearing under eye makeup, just make sure you set it with powder if you have oily skin.

5. Benefit Erase Paste in No. 2: My under eye area is one of my biggest annoyances. No matter how much sleep, water, exercise I get it is still dark and blue looking. This concealer is perfect for brightening up the area and colour correcting the dark area. It has a very nice salmon tone which counteracts the blue in under eye circles, practically erasing them. It is very moisturising which is also good for the under eye area, making it look refreshed.
