I wore this the day I blew all my tax refund at the shops, which was incredibly fun and satisfying. As someone who is petite (I am 151cm tall) I have always tended to stay away from loose fitting clothing especially in the bottoms department when too much fabric can swamp a small frame. I bought these shorts from Dotti with much apprehension because of their loose fitting nature but my mum talked me into them and I am so glad she did. Even though they are loose around the legs I find if paired with the right top, something that has tightness to it, it balances out the shorts.

In the past I have stuck to more tighter fitting tops such as here and here, so I thought I would experiment with my new striped peplum top to see how that looked with the shorts. I love the silhouette it created, a great hourglass shape, not swamping me at all. As a petite I often push trends or certain clothes away because I think they wouldn't fit my figure but being petite doesn't necessarily mean some things won't look good on you. You may just have to re-work how you're going to wear the item to suit your shape.

I hope you're having a fabulous day,
Brie x
