Bali: Favourite restaurants, shopping & tourist outings

Turtle Island

Bali was amazing and amazingly hot. I had an awesome time in Bali for the week I was there and the holiday was jam packed with so many things. Above are a few pictures of our villa, Potato Head and Turtle Island. I thought in this post I will outline some of my favourite restaurants, shopping areas and general things we did that I loved.

Ultimo: a nice classy restaurant with lots of different things to eat.
Ryoshi: a Japanese restaurant that served great sushi in an air conditioned setting.
Rumours: another great restaurant with a large menu, great bar and very lively atmosphere.
Cafe Zucchini: we ate there twice for lunch, they have a great salad bar and the meals taste so good and are very fresh.

Seminyak: we stayed in Seminyak and once you get into the centre (eg. Seminyak Square or near Bintang supermarket) there are many, many boutiques, selling a wide variety of clothes, accessories and souvenirs.
Discovery shopping mall, Kuta: we ventured to this shopping centre twice and I loved it. A mix of normal mall stores and budget friendly market type stalls selling everything from scarves, to sarongs to housing a Topshop. It is located in the centre of Kuta and is very busy.

Tourist outings:
We went to Potato Head on our first full day in Bali. This place is OMG gorgeous. It is a beach club fitted out with an amazing pool and pool bar, normal bar and seating, and beds by the pool. The food is great as are the many cocktails I consumed. Definitely one of my favourite places in Bali and provides a great setting to watch the sun go down.
We had a driver and one day he took us up to Ubud. A great place that hosts markets and boutiques, along with bars and cafes.
Another day we ventured to Nusa Dua for some water sports. This place is packed with so many different water sports and is bustling with lots of people. We went snorkelling and out to Turtle Island to obviously see the turtles.

I hope you are having a fabulous day and if you have any places you love in Bali please comment below,
